I slept in Dangote cement factory in Obajana, Kogi State on the night of Natasha’s wedding–Akpabio

According to Punch News, Senate President Godswill Akpabio on the wedding day of Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, he slept inside the Dangote Cement facility in Obajana, Kogi State. During plenary at the National Assembly on Thursday, Akpabio, a former Niger Delta minister, made this statement. According to Akpabio, Natasha’s husband is a personal friend of his, and his presence at their wedding shows how close he is to the family. The Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions had suggested that the Kogi member be suspended for six months.

However, The senator from Kogi Central should apologize to the Senate for “disrespecting the Senate,” the committee further suggested. The committee declared that her security information and income will be removed during the suspension time. Additionally, the committee suggested that during her suspension, Senator Natasha should not be seen anywhere in the National Assembly. The Senate passed the resolution in response to the recommendation, and the Senate President declared that the Kogi legislator would be suspended.
