School restates commitment to excellence, others

Vice Chair and Lead Consultant at Ronik International Schools, Lagos, Dr Adebola Olubanjo, has reiterated the school’s commitment to excellence. This was just as he hailed Emmanuel Akolo, a pupil who brought glory to the  school in the  MTN Champs Lagos, at Yaba College of Technology.

Akolo of Ronik took second at the 100 metres race, returning at a time of 11.31s.

Speaking at a news conference, he maintained that the maintained that the school is known for excellence.

“We have a tradition of excellence, and it’s time to return the glory of the school.

‘‘One of our pupils took part in MTN sports and did well.

‘‘We have a programme  where we catch them young so they can represent Nigeria. We have a swimming pool, basketball and lawn tennis courts. We have French language and we have started Chinese.

He noted that with its language laboratory, sports school and facilities, it is poised to imbue learners with skills to thrive in the world.

Olubanjo said to ensure proper curriculum delivery and teacher performance, the school organises training and capacity building for teachers.

“Besides doing staff audit, and training on child safety, we do capacity building. We train and retrain and our teachers. We prioritise training of teachers, and we recruit top class teaching personnel to improve enrolment,” he said.

Group Admin/Secretary, Mrs. Omon Ayorinde, said a policy is in place  to guide the boarders and ensure they don’t misbehave and avoid vice.

She added that there was  achange in personnel in the hostel for effective service delivery, noting that pupils are not allowed to use mobile phones.
