Serah Olaniyan is not one woman who attracts attention or publicity to herself but her philanthropic gestures continue to draw attention to her personality at every turn.
Married to a media executive, Olaniyan has continued to make laudable impacts on various lives in rural areas with her Serah Olaniyan Initiative.
Though she tries to be modest about her philanthropic gestures, those that have been impacted have continued to heap praises on her.
Hence, it was no surprise when a leading pharmaceutical company, Jawa International Ltd (manufacturers of Jawaron Blood Tonic) decided to partner with the Serah Olaniyan Initiative to donate Over-the-Counter medications to support an outreach program at Agoro community in Atan-Ota, Ogun State.
The outreach, powered by Serah Olaniyan Initiative (SOI), is a non-profit organisation that gives food, clothes and medical supplies to the aged and vulnerable people in rural communities.
On why she embarked on the mission to support aged and vulnerable people, Olaniyan noted that a lot of rural areas are lacking in terms of social welfare, and this outreach is trying to also support government efforts in reaching out to the needy through private efforts from donors and sponsors.
She further disclosed that although the initiative cannot reach everyone, she and her team decided to concentrate on remote areas by giving out food items, medications, free medical tests and clothing to the vulnerable.
