‘Youth centre will mobilise for Tinubu’

All Progressives Congress National Youth Leader, Dr. Dayo Israel, has said the “Progressive Youth Resource Centre” in Wuse 2, Abuja, will mobilise for President Bola’s Tinubu re-election. He said the centre, built in his first tenure, is a multifunctional facility to redefine youth engagement in the party and Nigeria’s political landscape.

“The facility will house the party’s official youth mobilisation for re-election of Bola Tinubu in 2027,” he said.

It features a games room, spaces for training, meetings, lounge, boardroom and multimedia suite/podcast studio.

There are offices for Jagaban Army Movement,  Progressive Young Farmer’s Unit, Sports and Social Unit, Teens Enrichment Team, Student Engagement Division, Female Youth Enrichment Unit, Administrative and Operations Hub, Human Resource and Talent Management team, Youth Wing Membership Experience Unit.

“I want to build a Youth Wing that responds to challenges our generation faces. A youth wing that gives a voice to the emerging generation”, he said.

“President Tinubu is a pan-African youth champion. His administration has given opportunities to youths, and as leader, I am motivated to mobilise for his victory, as we did in 2023.” he added.

“The idea for this began when I contested for leader. It was part of my manifesto to set it up since the election period.’’

“This vision was further enriched by insight gathered from my visits to India, Ghana, China, Morocco, and United Kingdom…’’

many of them self-funded, where I led my team and some of my zonal and state youth leaders to understudy youth wings of ruling parties and leading political movements. These global best practices helped shape my approach to youth engagement and political empowerment. Thanks to the moral support from the NWC and the collective commitment of our youth leadership, especially my deputy and zonal youth leaders, we are proud to deliver a platform that truly empowers the next generation of progressives.

“The Center is a visionary initiative aimed at strengthening party structures through youth-centered innovation, engagement, and leadership development. It is where we would implement our five-year strategic plan for the youth wing. We aim to leverage on the strength of our 200,000+ strong, elected youth leadership structure from the national level to the ward/polling units to galvanize support for our party, our president, and his policies.”
