The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Deputy National President, Dr. Abimbola Oyetunde, has been appointed as Bureau Chief for FRCN Network and Deputy Director of News at the Directorate Headquarters Annex in Ikoyi, Lagos.
The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) praised the appointment, calling it a testament to Dr. Oyetunde’s “exceptional leadership, journalistic prowess, and dedication to excellence.”
In a statement signed by National Chairperson Aisha Ibrahim and National Secretary Wasilah Ladan, NAWOJ highlighted Dr. Oyetunde’s impressive track record, particularly her tenure as General Manager of Bronze FM, Benin, which earned her widespread recognition.
As Bureau Chief and Deputy Director of News, Dr. Oyetunde is expected to bring a wealth of experience to the role, driving innovation and excellence in news gathering and dissemination. NAWOJ expressed confidence that her leadership will inspire colleagues to strive for higher standards in journalism.
