From prison to perks: Comfort Emmanson receives phones, jobs, and land

Comfort Emmanson, the air passenger whose altercation with Ibom Air crew on August 10 led to her detention in Kirikiri Prison, has received a series of offers from businessmen and public figures following her release.

Emmanson was freed after the case against her was withdrawn, and has since been taken off the airline operators’ no-fly list.

Businessman Oga Uby announced on Thursday that he had replaced the phone damaged during the incident with a new iPhone 16 Pro Max and signed her to a four-year brand ambassador contract with Tubex Logistics Services.

“I have donated an iPhone 16 Pro Max to the Ibom passenger, Comfort Emmanson, to replace the phone that was damaged during the altercation with Ibom Air,” Uby said. “I also endorsed her for a four-year contract with our company as our brand ambassador.”

Earlier in the week, Ossai Ovie Success, Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, offered Emmanson a job in Delta State with a monthly salary of ₦500,000, alongside an all-expenses-paid trip to attend the Delta Social Media Summit in Asaba on August 28.
