Actress Wunmi Toriola has taken a conciliatory step following widespread criticism over her recent outburst against actor and producer Afeez Owo, husband of actress Mide Martins.
The Yoruba movie star admitted she had reflected on her actions and expressed readiness to move forward peacefully.
Earlier, Wunmi had lashed out at Afeez, describing him as an elderly man who should avoid unnecessary drama. Despite her remarks, she stressed that she still respected him.
Her comments sparked outrage among fans, who reminded her of the importance of showing respect to senior colleagues in the industry.
Responding to the backlash, Wunmi shared a video of herself aboard a plane on Instagram, captioning it: “The face of a repentant child. It is still all love. Thank you all for the backlash. Omo ta ba fe lan bawi.”
Meanwhile, Afeez Owo, married to Mide Martins since 2003, once clarified that their reported 2016 marital separation was exaggerated by social media after what Mide described as a “minor argument over the well-being of their children.”
