Wizkid Marks Son’s Successful Debut EP Release

Grammy-winning singer Wizkid has expressed overwhelming pride in his 14-year-old son, Boluwatife, whose debut EP, Champion Arrival, skyrocketed to No. 1 on Apple Music Nigeria’s Top Albums just hours after its release.

The young artist, supported by his mother, Sola Ogudu, and his manager, shared studio footage ahead of the release.

The project dropped on November 11 and is now available across all streaming platforms.

The five-track project has since charted in 16 countries and landed at No. 71 on the UK Apple Music Top Albums, marking Boluwatife as the youngest African act to top Nigeria’s Apple Music Albums chart.

Speaking courtside at a New York Knicks game, Wizkid couldn’t hide his joy, “We love it, man. He’s my kid, you know,” he said.

The Grammy winner’s heartfelt reaction has further fuelled excitement around the rising star’s breakthrough.
