The Commander of the Mining Marshals, Assistant Commandant of Corps (ACC) John Onoja Attah, has dedicated his recent award from the Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN) to security personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty.
Attah, who spoke shortly after receiving the award, said the honour belongs to “all officers and men,military and paramilitary who paid the supreme price for our dear nation.”
He called on Nigerians from all backgrounds to support the FG’s ongoing security measures, saying the country needs collective responsibility to overcome its current challenges.
Attah warned against allowing sentiment to shape national debates, stressing that such emotions may bring “temporary gain but permanent pain.” He urged citizens to adopt a stronger sense of nationalism in their daily conduct.
The Mining Marshals Commander said Nigerians must also think about the kind of country they intend to hand over to their children, noting that “the Nigeria of tomorrow is largely dependent on our conduct today.”
He prayed for the success of the nation and concluded with a call for unity and patriotism: “May Nigeria succeed. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria
