Amaechi Cautions Fubara Against Mistaking Public Excitement for Loyalty

Former Rivers State Governor and ex-Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has reportedly advised Governor Siminalayi Fubara not to confuse public enthusiasm with genuine political loyalty.

According to legal practitioner Asim Adams, Amaechi observed that much of the visible crowd support surrounding Governor Fubara is largely driven by resentment toward his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, rather than deep-rooted support for the current administration.

The remarks come amid sustained political tension in Rivers State, where rival factions aligned with both Amaechi and Wike continue to contest influence over party structures and key state institutions.

Amaechi reportedly urged Governor Fubara to focus on building an independent and solid political base, warning that emotions fueled by political conflicts are often fleeting and can shift rapidly with changing circumstances.
