The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, is set to host a massive family celebration as nine of his children prepare to get married on the same day.
The former Zamfara State governor, who is married to four wives: Aisha, Balkisu, Fatima and Dadiya will give out his sons and daughters in a joint wedding ceremony scheduled for February 6, 2026.
Details of the event emerged through a general invitation shared by one Dan Jafaru Aleengoo Turakee, announcing that the weddings will take place at the Central Mosque in Abuja.
Further information from separate wedding invitations revealed some of the individual unions. Former Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Hon. Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya, is set to marry Nana Bello Matawalle. Ibrahim Sahabi Liman will wed Farida Bello Matawalle, while Safiya Bello Matawalle will be joined in marriage to Yazid Shehu Dan Fulani.
Another of the minister’s daughters, Aisha Bello Matawalle, is to marry Umar Ibrahim Danmaliki.
The high-profile ceremony is expected to attract dignitaries from across the country, given Matawalle’s political stature and the scale of the occasion.
