IGP orders posting of AIG Ahmad PhD to Zone 14 headquarters Katsina

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has ordered the posting of the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Ahmad AbdurRahman Ph.D., to take charge as AIG Zone 14 comprising Katsina and Kaduna State’s Commands.

The AIG was briefly at the Zone to supervise the just concluded 2023 general elections.

AIG of Police Zone 14 headquarters Katsina has reaffirmed his readiness to apply more strategies to checkmate the activities of the unscrupulous elements disrupting the peace and harmony. 

He also expressed readiness to effectively supervise the two Commissioners under him to achieve the goals of a result-oriented policing. 

AIG Ahmad AbdurRahman added that he would continue to strengthen the existing synergy between the police and critical stakeholders, especially sister security agencies to achieve more successes in combating crime and criminality in the zone in particular and Nigeria at large. 

However, the AIG is appealing to the good people of the zone to report any suspicious acts that may be a threat to our community in time to the police and other security agencies for prompt action, as timely and authentic information always yield fruitful result, please. 

A statement by the Zone 14 Katsina Public Relations Officer, ASP Shehu Suleman noted that the AIG hails from Bulakko in Kirfi L.G.A of Bauchi State but was born in Kuru, Jos, Plateau State.

According to the statement the new AIG holds B.Sc. Political Science from Usman Danfodio University Sokoto before his appointment into the Nigeria Police Force on 3rd March 1990 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police trained at Police Academy Annex Kaduna.
