“Obey Court order now” protesters storm NNPC tower in Abuja

Protesters are currently occupying major roads leading to the Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation’s tower in Abuja.

The angry Nigerians under the aegis of George Uboh Whistle Blowers Network (GUWBN), Wednesday, asked the Group Managing Director of NNPCL, Mele Kyari to address them and “disclose the whereabouts of the proceeds of the stolen 48 million barrels of crude oil as pronounced by court which amounts to $4.8 billion usd.”

They are also calling on the Group General Manager of the NNPCL, Mele Kyari to obey “a subsisting Court order compelling him to disclose and publish in the public interest the whereabouts of the proceeds of the sale of 48 million barrels of bonny light crude oil stolen in Nigeria and stored in China under his watch.”

The protesters who are a non-profit non-governmental and non-partisan Civil Society Organization took a peaceful and non-violent protest to the NNPC Towers and Eagle Square to press their demands.
