KSM: Abuja Metropolitan Council inducts 115 Knights

Abuja Metropolitan Council, Knights of St Mulumba (KSM), has inducted 115 of its brothers and sisters to the honoured Order.

The honour Order involves a Knight moving from second degree to third degree.

The investiture ceremony, which took place in Abuja, had the Worthy Metro Chaplain and Abuja Archdiocesan Worthy chaplain, Rev. Fr Robert Achiaga in attendance as well as other dignitaries.

In an interview with journalists, the Abuja Worthy Metro Grand Knight (WMGK), Sir John Jimoh described the day as special for the council, explaining that to be a Knight in the order is no mean feat.

Sir Jimoh said “it is another responsibility to these brothers and sisters. Yes, they’re in the third degree now.

It takes a Knight 7 years to advance from second degree to third degree. So they have been on this journey for the past seven years.

“And I believe that having completed the 7 years mandatory for them to advance to this level, they will do the Church and the Knight proud.

To me, I’m a very happy man today because we have harvested as many as about 115 Brothers and sisters today,” he said.

On working for God and humanity, the WMGK said “It is always good to work for God because no one worked for Him that will not lose.

“I enjoy each and everybody out there who has not known the fact that to work for God is great gain to please come closer and do His will,” he appealed.

Lamenting leadership failure in Nigeria, Sir Jimoh said those that pilot the nations government have failed. He express sadness over high cost of living as the value of money depreciates. “Go to the market, you cannot buy anything that is reasonable with your money.”

To salvage the nation, he charged electorates to not pray alone but to open their eyes wide and select selfless leaders that have the interest of the people at heart.

On her part, the President, Abuja Metropolitan Council, St Mulumba Nigeria, Worthy Lady Agnes Eneji, LSM said the investiture means more honour more work. “When you get to the third degree, you should be an example to those coming behind you.

“You should be the Bible people read. People don’t need to look at the Bible to see who you are. Your 3Ts; time, talent, and treasure should come to play fully.

“At this time, that you are at the third degree, you’ve gone higher but not higher in pride. If you used to do one, we expect you to do two, because now you are a third degree brother or a sister.

“I wish them well, I congratulate them on their third degree investiture and I pray God to increase them in wisdom and strength,” she prayed.
