Zlatan Ibrahimovic Makes U-turn On Lionel Messi As ‘GOAT’ After World Cup Win

Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has changed his mind about Lionel Messi’s status as the greatest footballer of all time.

Ibrahimovic had claimed that Messi is not the best ever player, despite him winning his seventh Ballon d’Or in 2021.

According to Mirror on Wednesday, Ibrahimovic reconsidered his reservations about Messi after Argentina’s win at the World Cup in Qatar.

In a new interview with France Inter, the AC Milan veteran said, “Messi is considered to be the best player ever, I was sure he was going to win it. I am also convinced that Kylian Mbappe will still win one more World Cup.”

However, Ibrahimovic criticised Messi’s Argentina teammates for their actions after their World Cup victory.

He claimed that they behaved badly in the aftermath of their victory. He especially felt that they showed disrespect towards French players.
