Flying Eagles star, Daga ruled out for rest of competition

Nigeria will be without influential midfielder, Daniel Daga for the rest of the ongoing 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Daga sustained injury in the Flying Eagles opening game 1-0 defeat to the Cubs of Senegal.

The Dakkada FC player has missed the Flying Eagles last three games against Egypt, Mozambique and Uganda.

There were hopes he will be fit for the Flying Eagles semi-final clash against Gambia but he has now been ruled out of the competition following an assessment of the injury.

The Flying Eagles will battle the Young Scorpions of Gambia for a place in the final on Monday (today).

The encounter at the Cairo International Stadium will kick-off at 6pm Nigerian time.
