Ten Hag told to strip Bruno Fernandes of captaincy after 7-0 defeat to Liverpool

Former Chelsea star, Chris Sutton has told Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag to strip Bruno Fernandes of the captain’s armband following their 7-0 defeat at Liverpool on Sunday.

Fernandes has come under criticism for his behaviour during the game at Anfield.

This includes him asking Ten Hag to take him off as the game ran away from United.

“Whatever you think of Harry Maguire, the club captain, you would not catch him behaving like this on the pitch. Ten Hag dealt with the Cristiano Ronaldo problem.

“Now he needs to deal with Fernandes, starting with deciding whether he deserves to wear the armband in Thursday’s Europa League clash with Real Betis,” Sutton wrote in his Daily Mail column.
