Malaysia’s Michelle Yeoh Emerges First Asian To Win Best Actress In Oscars

Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh made history as the first Asian woman to ever win the Best Actress award in the 95-year history of Oscars.

The Academy announced this on its Twitter page, on Monday morning.

The tweet read, “Of all the universes, we live in the one where Michelle Yeoh makes history as the first Asian woman to win the Best Actress Oscar—love that for us! #Oscars #Oscars95”

She won the award for her role in ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once.’
