129 Nigerian Evacuees Arrive In Abuja

One hundred and twenty-nine Nigerians fleeing war-torn Sudan arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Monday.

According to the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission in a statement shared via its Twitter handle, the 129 evacuees are the eighth batch bringing to a total of 1,600 evacuees so far.

The statement read, “The 8th batch of Evacuees: 129 Nationals that departed Port Sudan International Airport, landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport around 9:25 am local time on May 8 via Tarco Air.

“Making a total of 1,600 evacuees so far.The good news is, no Nigerian life has been lost so far.”
