Sir

         CONDOLENCE MESSAGE

To live in the heart you leave behind is to live forever’ – Carl Sagan

It was with a heavy heart that we received the unfortunate demise of your founder, partner and father, son, husband, hence we comiserate with you at this unfortunate moment of grief

The history and success of the Nigeria movie industry (Nollywood) can not be complete without recognising the role of High Chief Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi, AIT and the entire Daar family

As a pacesetter in the private broadcasting industry in Nigeria (which was coincidentally during the evolution of our brand new movie industry), High Chief Dokpesi offered a lot of support in promoting the young industry in several ways than one

We do not take this for granted, to which we are eternally grateful

The history of the above reward platform (Friends of Nollywood Awards) will also be incomplete without the role of this great man, who incidentally was a member of the class of 2006 awardees during the maiden edition when (As usual), AIT stood as a pillar of support and has always been part of us through the years, thus his sudden demise has left us devasted and in deep mourning

We are however consoled by the fact that he ran a good race and left indelible marks in the sands of time
May God grant his gentle soul a peaceful rest in his bosom

RIP High Chief Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi
