NNPP Suspends Rabiu Kwankwaso

The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) has suspended the party’s national leader, Rabiu Kwankwaso.

Kwankwaso was suspended for six months for alleged anti-party activities.

Daily Reports Nigeria reports that the suspension comes after a crisis of confidence that began within the party in the past few months since the end of the 2023 elections with accusations and counter-claims among various groups.

According to checks, a few days ago the national secretary and several others were suspended from their jobs, a decision that was overruled by the party’s BoT
