W02 Dennis Majali buried in Imane

Friday 8 September, 2023 will forever remain a great memory for the family of Majali who buried their patriarch late WO2 Dennis Majali in Imane, Olamaboro Local Government of Kogi State.

W02 Dennis Majali was the founding father of Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Jos Branch.

Family members especially, the son-in-laws to the Majali’s Mr Gabriel Onimisi and his wife Mrs Christiana Onimisi, Mr Benedict Adejoh, Mr linus Omale and brother Thomas Abutu KSM, describes late Majali as a man who feared God and impacted so many lives through his good deeds.

According to them, the patriarch lived an impactful life and thank him and the family for allowing them marry their daughters.

One of the son-in-law, Brother Thomas Abutu KSM, who spoke to our correspondent said “When he was alive, he always cared for and supported everyone around him and most importantly, he had the fear of God”.

Mr Benedict Adejoh, a son in-law while eulogizing the patriarch said he lived a fulfilled life which is worthy of emulation.

Another son in-law, Mr linus Omale a member of the Sacred Heart Of Jesus and Immaculate Heart Of Mary said he has every assurance that as a member of the Sacred Heart and his contribution to the Church, Baba is already in heaven.

On his part, Mr Gabriel Onimisi described his father in-law as “a patriot whose love for his children was immeasurable. And that has inspired him.

In his sermon at the funeral at Holy Spirit Catholic Church Imane, Rev. Fr. Cornelius Eneojo Ameh said the deceased, having accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour can also say with confidence that he had fought a good fight.

He also reminded the Church that the book of Ecclesiastes stressed that “the day of death is better than the day of birth”.

He said when a child is born, there will be challenges, inequality, strife and serious human encumbrances, but when a human being dies, it is an end to all human strife, maintaining that for a Christian, death opens the door to a glorious hereafter.

He challenged the Christians of this contemporary time to be conscious of the Lord’s second coming.

He said, WO2 Dennis Majali has gone to be with the Lord, but for us whom he left behind, how prepared are we if the end comes?”
