Ten Benue Passengers Enroute Lagos Kidnapped In Kogi

Ten people have been reportedly kidnapped as suspected gunmen on the Sunday intercepted two loaded Benue Links buses traveling from Makurdi to Lagos.

Our correspondent learnt that the incident happened between 2:00 and 3:00 pm during which many others were said to have escaped along Ajaokuta/Okene road.

An official of Benue Links transport company in Makurdi who pleaded anonymity, confirmed the incident on phone on Monday.

He said, “It is true the incident happened along Ajaokuta/Okene road yesterday between 2:00 and 3:00 pm.

:”Two vehicles were involved and ten passengers were abducted, the incident was reported at Adogo Police station near Okene.

The anonymous source appealed to government to beef up security along the road for adequate surveillance.
