Guardiola gives injury update on three Man City players after draw with Arsenal

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has provided an update on three of his players Nathan Ake, Kyle Walker, and John Stones following yet another injury picked up in their Premier League 0-0 draw against Arsenal on Sunday.

Guardiola’s side failed to beat the Gunners at Etihad Stadium as Ake sustained what looked like a calf injury in the first half.

Ake was replaced by Rico Lewis during the encounter.

The likes of Walker and Stones had picked up injuries while playing for England against Brazil and Belgium, respectively during the international break.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Guardiola said: “It is what it is.

“[Ake] played two games this week [including] with the national team in Holland. John will be better soon, I think. Kyle will be longer, now Nathan will be longer.”
