We will use home advantage to beat Falcons – Banyana star, Kgatlana

Banyana Banyana of South Africa star, Thembi Kgatlana believes playing in front of their supporters will give the team edge in the second leg of the 2024 Olympic Games qualifier against Nigeria.

Desiree Ellis’ side were outplayed by the Super Falcons, who claimed a 1-0 win in the first leg in Abuja on Friday night.

The reigning African champions must overturn the deficit in the second leg to achieve their ambition of qualifying for the Olympics after missing out four years ago in Tokyo.

Kgatlana insisted that there is still more to play for in the encounter.

“The end result will be on Tuesday,” Kgatlana told reporters after the game.

“We will be at home, familiar with the conditions, that will be an advantage.”
