Iheanacho, Ndidi clinch Championship title with Leicester City

The Super Eagles duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi have won the Championship title with Leicester City.

This was confirmed on Monday after Jamie Vardy scored a brace in the 3-0 win over Preston.

The Foxes had already earned promotion back to the Premier League after only one season in the second-tier league.

But Vardy ensured they finish in first place with goals either side of half-time, before Kasey McAteer put the cherry on the top with a third goal.

Enzo Maresca’s men will receive the Championship trophy after Saturday’s final day clash with Blackburn at the King Power Stadium.

The fixture will also determine whether Leicester City hit the 100-point mark or not.
