Bandits attack Zamfara CPG, kill three, cart away weapons

No fewer than three members of the Zamfara State local security outfit, Community Protection Guard (CPG), were killed in a recent attack by armed bandits.

Newsmen gathered that the terrorists attacked the local security operatives in the Jambako district of the Maradun Local Government Area of the state.

According to a resident of the area, Muhammad Jambako, the armed bandits attacked the CPG operatives as they approached Faru community, saying that they also took their firearms and motorcycles.

The attack has created anxiety and worry among the people of the nearby communities in the axis.

The State Police command’s spokesman, ASP Yazid Abubakar, could not be reached at the time of filing this report.
