Kaduna Police foil kidnap attempt on traditional ruler, wife’s whereabouts unknown

The Nigeria Police in Kaduna has foiled the attempted kidnap of Umar Musa, the Paramount Ruler of Ninzo Chiefdom in Sanga Local Government Area, on Wednesday.

While confirming the kidnap attempt, ASP Mansir Hassan, spokesperson of the command, said although they had succeeded in foiling the attack, the whereabouts of the Chief’s wife were still unknown.

He said security operatives have since been deployed to the forests around Sanga in search of the wife.

The Ninzo Development Association, in a statement signed by its President and Secretary, Prof. Moses Audi and Silas Anche, respectively, condemned the attempted kidnapping of their traditional ruler which led to the disappearance of his wife just as it called for calm to allow the government to carry out its responsibilities.
