Paris 2024 Olympics: Team Nigeria captain, Opeyori ready to conquer badminton opponent

Nigeria’s badminton star, Anuoluwapo Opeyori has declared his readiness to compete for honours at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Opeyori will begin his medal quest against Switzerland’s Tobias Kuenzi at La Chapelle Arena on Tuesday (today).

The athlete took to social media to express his readiness for the clash with Kuenzi.

“First matchday at the 2024 Paris Olympics tomorrow (Tuesday) by 6:30pm C.A.T. I’m very sure you guys can tell how excited I am. I will give it nothing but my absolute best.

“I am excited for my first game in the Olympics Paris 2024. It is an honour to represent Nigeria. I have put my heart and soul into training every day and night, and I am happy to represent,” Opeyori wrote on X.

The 27-year-old will be making his second appearance at the Olympics following his debut four years ago in Tokyo.
