Shehu Sani on terrorism allegation against NLC President, Ajaero

Former lawmaker Senator Shehu Sani has described as strange and unfortunate the allegations of terrorism financing against the National President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, by the Nigeria Police.

Sani made this known in a post on his X handle on Tuesday.

“Terrorism allegation against the NLC President Ajaero is strange and unfortunate,” the senator posted on X.

Earlier reported that the police on Monday invited Ajaero for questioning over allegations of terrorism financing, treasonable felony, cybercrime and other related offenses.

The invitation contained in a letter dated August 19, 2024, was signed by ACP Adamu Muazu on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Intelligence Response Team.

The police had warned that a warrant of arrest would be issued against Ajaero if he failed to appear for interrogation on Tuesday (today).
