Arsenal boss, Mike Arteta has confirmed that defender, Takehiro Tomiyasu has suffered an injury setback ahead of his side’s Premier League tie with Bournemouth this weekend.
Arteta, who spoke at his pre-match press conference on Friday, said the Gunners really need Tomiyasu.
Confirming Tomiyasu has suffered a setback, Arteta said (via Fabrizio Romano):
“It doesn’t look like, hopefully, a long period but we have to see when he comes back how he reacts to the load. We really need him.
“He has been incredible, the amount of hours that he has put in to get back”.
Arsenal currently sits in the third position on the Premier League table behind Manchester City and Liverpool.
