Woman Apprehended During Alleged Burglary And Theft In Makurdi

A woman has been apprehended for alleged theft and burglary in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

The suspect was allegedly caught red handed on Monday, March 3, 2025 while allegedly burglarizing students’ houses around Gyado Villa and carting away their belongings.

Eyewitnesses claim she had been using keys to gain access to students’ rooms.

It was further claimed that she was involved in the string of thefts in Makurdi.

The woman was severely beaten by an angry mob and is currently at risk of being k!lled.

Photos making the rounds on Facebook show the woman with a tyre hung around her neck.

Facebook users are calling on the Benue State Police to intervene and rescue her.
