Nigerian Singer Darlington Okoye “Speed Darlington” as popularly called has been receiving backlashes from social media trolls for coming on Instagram live to say about ten years ago he defiled a 15-year-old girl in an hotel.
The singer who spoke in his local dialect in the viral video said he met the underage girl as a virgin before his sexual escapade with her.
He went on to say he had to tip the guest room attendant to clean up blood stains from the bedsheets after his private moment with the girl; an act netizens described as disgusting.
In a swift reaction the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency said they had reached out to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) to investigate the matter.
Following the backlashes Speed Darlington has been receiving he has taken to his Instagram to claim the said viral video was nothing but a publicity stunt done to promote his latest music release.
He has since apologised to his fans and anyone who found the video offensive.
