Jide Awobona slams street car washers, warns against unsolicited services

Nollywood actor Jide Awobona has expressed concerns over the activities of street vendors, particularly those who wash cars in traffic without owner’s consent.

In a light-hearted yet pointed Instagram post, Awobona jokingly warned that he might resort to flogging someone if the trend continues.

He advised the vendors to stick to selling snacks or simply asking for help, rather than engaging in unsolicited car washing, which he described as intrusive and annoying.

He wrote: “Enough is enough. Get your camera ready in Lagos and ibadan, I’m about to become a masquerade, I need a koboko or pankere plug. I can’t take this anymore, I don’t know how others feel but as for me, I can’t take you washing my car in traffic, no permission no nothing, who told you I even wash my car with soap, just beg for money or sell kulikuli, they may not see this but incase you see me flogging someone on the road, this has to be the reason”.
