NPFL: Nasarawa Utd to host Kano Pillars behind closed doors

Nasarawa United FC has confirmed that their NPFL matchday 20 fixture against Kano Pillars will be played behind closed doors due to ongoing stadium renovations.

Mr Eche Amos, the club’s Media Director, confirmed this in a statement on Tuesday briefing to newsmen in Lafia.

“We wish to notify our supporters that the clash with Kano Pillars will be held without spectators.

“The Lafia City Stadium is undergoing repair works that may disrupt the convenience of persons and vehicular movements.

“Only officials, management members of both clubs, and accredited media personnel will have access.

“Security measures will be stringent at all stadium entrances to ensure safety and order,” he said.

Amos apologised for any inconvenience caused by the development and thanked fans for their understanding.

He further stated that contractors handling the renovations assured completion before Nasarawa United’s next home match.

The matchday 20 NPFL fixture is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 4:00 p.m. at Lafia City Stadium. (
