FG Inaugurates Committee On Host Community Fund

Federal Government sets up inter-ministerial committee to strengthen coordination and compliance in host community development implementation nationwide.

The federal government has inaugurated an inter-ministerial committee to strengthen coordination and enhance compliance in the implementation of the Host Community Development (HCD) Programme.

The inauguration, which took place  in Abuja, was presided over by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Patience Oyekunle, and her counterpart in the Ministry of Regional Development, Dr. Mary Ada Ogbe.

A statement by Rotimi Sanusi, on behalf of the head of press and public relations in the ministry, said the committee was established strictly as a collaborative and advisory body.

According to the statement, the committee is mandated to facilitate coordination and promote effective information sharing among stakeholders in line with presidential directives. 

Membership of the Committee was drawn from the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, the Ministry of Regional Development, the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).
