The Volunteer Media Advocacy for Accountable Leadership has commended Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, for transforming the former City Gate entrance to Minna into a modern overhead bridge, describing the project as a symbol of visionary leadership and infrastructural development.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Country Director of the organization, Augustine Aminu, said the transformation of the once-familiar City Gate into a modern and aesthetically appealing overhead bridge demonstrates the governor’s commitment to urban renewal and sustainable development.
According to him, the project reflects Governor Bago’s foresight and determination to translate ambitious ideas into tangible realities that improve the lives of citizens and enhance the state’s image.
“What was once known as City Gate, the entrance to Minna, is today a modern and beautiful overhead bridge. It is a clear demonstration of a leader with the power of foresight, a governor who is bringing dreams into reality,” the statement said.
The group noted that the development has not only improved traffic flow and connectivity within the state capital but has also added to the beauty and modern outlook of Minna.
It further stated that the project is evidence that the administration’s vision of a “New Niger” is gradually taking shape through strategic investments in infrastructure and urban development.
“A New Niger is indeed happening before our very eyes. This landmark project stands as a testament to purposeful governance and the determination to build a better future for the people of Niger State,” the statement added.
The advocacy group expressed appreciation to Governor Bago for what it described as transformative leadership and urged residents to continue supporting developmental initiatives aimed at advancing the state.
It concluded by praising the governor’s efforts in redefining the landscape of Minna and positioning Niger State as a model of progress and modernization.
“Thank you, Governor Bago. Falle biyu ce!” the statement said.
