BREAKING: Abuja Hosts 2026 Chevron–NUJ FCT Media Training on Energy, Sustainability and Oil & Gas

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council, in partnership with Chevron Nigeria Limited, has commenced the 2026 Chevron Media Capacity Building Programme for Energy Correspondents in Abuja.

The training, taking place on Tuesday at the NUJ FCT Secretariat in Utako, is designed to strengthen the capacity of journalists covering Nigeria’s energy sector by equipping them with practical knowledge and skills for accurate, balanced, and impactful reporting.

The programme brings together energy correspondents, media professionals, and industry stakeholders to discuss emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry, energy transition, sustainability, and responsible journalism.

The capacity-building initiative underscores Chevron’s commitment to supporting professional journalism and fostering a better understanding of the country’s evolving energy landscape, while reinforcing the NUJ FCT Council’s drive to promote continuous professional development among journalists.
