Celine Dion surprised audiences at Paris Fashion Week with a performance at the end of L’Oréal’s annual show.
The Canadian singer appeared on the runway in a full-length ruched black velvet gown before being joined by several ambassadors for the French beauty brand.
They included actresses Viola Davis, Simone Ashley, Aja Naomi King and Eva Longoria.
Dion was diagnosed with stiff person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder, in 2022. She recently returned to the stage in Paris, performing earlier this month for the first time since a 2020 concert in New Jersey.
Her 2020 tour was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Paris Fashion Week, which is showcasing women’s spring/summer collections, runs until 6 October.
Dion was among several major stars at the opening events.
Kendall Jenner walked the runway in a sheer black halterneck dress with a thigh-high split and ivory corset.
Cara Delevingne also modelled, wearing a sparkling red sheer dress with a train.
Rihanna attended the Matières Fécales show in a shimmering copper two-piece worn over sheer black lingerie.
The label previously designed the angel wings dress worn by Zendaya at The Odyssey premiere in New York this summer.
Wicked star Cynthia Erivo also attended an event hosted by Tiffany and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs.
Other major fashion houses scheduled to present collections in Paris include Louis Vuitton, Tom Ford, Schiaparelli, Givenchy, Jean Paul Gaultier, Balenciaga and Loewe.
Dior and Chanel are also drawing attention after appointing new artistic directors.
Matthieu Blazy became Chanel’s creative director in early 2025, while Jonathan Anderson took over the role at Dior last summer.
