₦24m Refund Dispute: Property Buyer Warns Ochacho Real Homes of Lawsuit

A property buyer, Mr Elue Collins Asika, has threatened legal action against Ochacho Real Homes Ltd over an alleged failure to refund ₦24 million paid for two plots of land which he claims were subsequently reallocated.

Asika, through his solicitors, Chigbue & Chigbue, demanded an immediate refund of the money following the alleged reallocation of the properties.

According to the buyer, he paid ₦12 million each for two plots measuring 300 square metres, identified as Plot SD 26A and Plot SD 26B, within the Ochacho Real Homes development.

He alleged that despite completing payment for the two plots, the company subsequently reallocated them, prompting him to demand a refund of the full purchase price.

In a formal demand letter dated August 11, 2026, Asika’s solicitors gave Ochacho Real Homes Ltd seven days to refund the ₦24 million paid for the properties.

The buyer said failure by the company to comply with the demand within the stipulated period would leave him with no option but to commence legal proceedings to recover the money and seek other reliefs available under the law.

Asika maintained that having paid for the properties, he was entitled either to receive the plots purchased or be refunded the full amount paid.

Through his lawyers, he called on Ochacho Real Homes Ltd to resolve the dispute by refunding the ₦24 million, warning that legal proceedings could follow if the demand was not met.
