Jigawa’s Governor Badaru signs 2023 budget into law

Jigawa State Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has signed the state’s 2023 appropriation bill into law.

This is coming hours after the Jigawa State House Assembly passed the bill into law.

According to report, the Jigawa State House of Assembly had on Thursday passed the budget with no increase in the N172 million presented to the assembly by the governor.

Speaking to journalists shortly after signing the budget, governor Badaru expressed his satisfaction with the state budget performance in the last seven years of his administration.

He noted that the 2023 budget was designed to consolidate all the gains made in the last seven years, particularly in the area of physical and human capital development.

” The 2023 Jigawa State Budget will be used for completing most of the ongoing projects in the states,” he stated while commending the assembly for the speedy passage of the appropriation bill.
