NPFL: Kwara United head coach, Mohammed gets two-game ultimatum

Kwara United head coach, Abdulazeez Mohammed has been given a two-game ultimatum to turn around the fortune of the team or get booted out.

The Harmony Boys are yet to record a win in the Nigeria Premier Football League this season after four matches.

The Ilorin club were thrashed 3-0 by Enyimba in Aba on Sunday.

Kwara United have drawn two and lost two of their opening four games.

General Manager of the club, Bashir Badawiy stated that henceforth the management of the club will not tolerate any negative result from the team.

“The team has no excuse not to perform, going by the commitment of the government, the determination of the management and the sacrifice by the fans, supporters and stakeholders,”Badawiy said in a statement released by the club’s media team.

“And that was why we have decided to give the team a two-match ultimatum. They should rather perform or give way. We are playing in a dangerous league, the Abridged League, and we cannot tolerate this kind of result.”

Kwara United will host former champions, Kwara United in their next league game at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan on Wednesday.
