Burna Boy, Kizz Daniel, Rema Win At 2023 Soundcity MVP Awards

The Soundcity MVP Awards Festival held its fifth edition on Saturday.

The ceremony, which rewards hard work in the African music industry took place at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos State.

The 2023 Soundcity MVP Awards featured 15 award categories, with Burna boy winning the Artiste of the Year award.

Kizz Daniel took home the Song of the year award while Rema won the Digital Artiste of the Year award.

Others who took home an award include, Ghanian rapper, Black Sherif for best hip-hop award; and Tems, Best female award.

Pheelz and BNXN took home the best collaboration award and South African DJ, Maphorisa, went home with the African DJ award.

Akon won the legend of the year award; Magicsticks, producer of the year; Asake took home the best male artiste award; while TG Omori won video of the year award with ‘Bandana’.

Fireboy won best pop award with his song ‘Peru’; Ruger, best new artiste; Oxlade won the listeners choice award with his song ‘Kulosa’; and South African Costa Titch won the viewers choice award.
