… APC stalwart, Abu Ibrahim loses party stakeholders in home town
AS the Katsina State main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship candidate, Senator Yakubu Lado Danmarke campaign tour heads to southern senatorial district known as Funtua zone, moulded out plans on how he will solve and correct the ill-conceived policies of APC led government if elected.
Senator Lado while at the home Local Government of Gov. Aminu Bello Masari, Kafur, Matazu, Musawa, Danja and Bakori told the large crowd at each of local government areas that the neglected Funtua zone will soon have a first lift of development once they are sworn-in.
He said the blueprint of his government, if given the mandate, would focus on youths, women empowerment, socio-economic welfare, agriculture, education, fighting insecurity, addressing hunger among others.
According to him, the hardship facing the State and especially Funtua zone should be an eye opener that should guide the people to vote in government that will meet their yearnings and aspirations.
“In line with mine manifesto, would shoulder the payment of NECO and WAEC fees for students in the State as part of efforts to ensure no child is denied secondary school education and to alleviate the sufferings being faced by parents.
“Your turn out certainly tells me that you settled for PDP. You are going to affirm this in 2 weeks time. Imagine the hardship APC led government inflicted on us.
“This is not about politics but the reality. People are being killed everyday, hunger among other factors mar their reign in Nigeria and the State. APC’s policies are anti progress. When you come to Katsina State especially the under development of the southern senatorial district (Funtua zone) that Gov. Masari comes from, having ruled for about 8 years, nothing to room home about.
“The zone cannot brag of his son? What a shame? Take a look at the Katsina north and Central senatorial districts, nobody will believe the development through the Federal government.
“I promise you, within a shortest possible time, Katsina will feel the impact of true meaning of dividend of democracy in sha Allah” Lado noted.
While at the home town of Sen. Abu Ibrahim, a Katsina State stalwart of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Musawa, agog as large crowd welcomed Sen. Lado and campaign team.
APC stakeholders and hundreds of supporters dumped party for PDP.
Mahmuda Lawal who led the decampees noted that, due to the pain inflicted on them by the leadership of APC, they resolved to join PDP having tested them for 16 years.
“Our people are being kidnapped, killed on daily basis. We are tired, we need change and want to change the inhumane APC government. Together with my supporters of over 4000 are saying bye-bye APC. We denounced you”, Lawal added.
Senator Ibrahim Tsauri and Dr. Mustapha Inuwa both in all the areas visited emphasised on the need for people to collect their PVCs and by coming en mass to vote for PDP.
