The Global Peace Movement International,UK said Former minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, is a celebrated leader in his community and his victory at the just concluded senatorial election for Akwa Ibom North West showed that he is loved by his people.
President General of the group, Dr. Mike Uyi, stated this in a congratulatory message described the development as Akpabio’s acceptability by the people of his constituency.
“I have no doubt that Sen. Akpabio will attract the presence of the federal government to his senatorial district given his background as the former governor, one time senator and the former Niger Delta”.
“Akpabio is a man that have been tested and trusted an all the offices he has occupied, GPMI believes that he will do more in this national assignment “.
“His policies as a governor restructured and reengineered Akwa Ibom state psychologically, socially, infrastructurally and economically,” Uyi said.
Uyi further noted, despite poor economy and general disaffection in the country, quality education for children, provision of quality and adequate infrastructures and others are still possible for the people of Akwa Ibom North West.
