8 Years of Buhari: Service Chiefs Speak on Massive Procurement For Military, Achievements

The Defence & Service Chiefs speak on President Muhammadu Buhari’s commitment on massive procurement for the Nigerian Military and sustained efforts of the Multi National Joint Task Force(MNJTF), in the fight against insurgency.

In the new Documentary video, each service Chiefs expressed appreciation to the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to the Chief of Defence Staff General Lucky Irabor CFR, President Muhammadu Buhari  Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, supported the Military. “We appreciate President for the confidence he always reposes in the armed Forces of Nigeria. And I think I remain proud to have had him as my commander in Chief.”

Also, the Chief of Army Staff Lt General Faruk Yahaya CFR said, “being a General himself who knows the essence of cooperation in tackling the challenges we are facing particularly was to first harness our neighbours, namely Chad, Niger, Cameroon and now with that he immediately activated the Multinational Joint Task force MNJTF, he also gave effective orders and instructions on what should be done here and on his instruction that the theatre command for the operation against terrorism was moved to Maiduguri, and it was established under his leadership, that what was achieved was achieved”.

In addition, the Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Isiaka Oladayo Amao noted that, Indeed, History will be kind to the commander in Chief of the armed forces, President Mohammadu Buhari GCFR for the Commitments of his administration to the welfare and wellbeing of Nigerian Air Force.The last eight years of the current administration, the Nigerian Air Force has acquired 49 new aircraft to boost his training and combat readiness. Never in the history of the Nigerian Air Force, at this large number of platform they procured within such time frame.All these platforms where acquired to boost Nigerian Air Force Air Power implements and projection capability as well as air combat training.

The kinetic response led to the elimination of the key commanders of Boko Haram terrorists and degrading of the terror organisations network with them. A surrender of the foot soldiers, the joy of the ones who staged communities was boundless as thousands of IDPs returned to the ancestral homes and were assisted in rebuilding the society.
