COAS describes poultry business as NA quick impact project to combat economic challenges in Nigeria

The Chief of Army Staf Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya has described Poultry Business as one of the Nigerian Army (NA) Quick Impact Projects that could contribute to the economic growth through non-magnetic approach as well as providing the requisite platforms for post service plans for both serving and retired personnel.

The Chief of Army Staff made the statement while declaring the Poultry Management Workshop 2023 organised by the Nigerian Army Farms and Ranches Limited (NAFRL) held at the Land Forces Simulation Centre Nigeria conference Hall open on 2 May 2023.

The COAS who was represented by the Chief of Logistic Army Major General Omotomilola Akintade reiterated that the workshop is timely as the NA through the visionary leadership of the COAS is striving harder  to key in to the Federal Government Policy on Agricultural revolution to arrest food scarcity and boost  the Internally Generated Revenue for the Country.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Executive Director NAFRL Major General Mile Durowaiye stressed that the main purpose of establishing NAFARL was to spearhead the NA’s involvement in the Federal Government Agricultural Programme and expose the NA to agriculture and its full value chain.

The Workshop with the theme: *Gaining An Edge in Poultry Management* drew experts in Poultry Management, senior officers,  Participants from NA formations and units, sister services, paramilitary agencies and government parastatals among others.
