A throwback video re-emerged on Wednesday, where Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, stated that playing for Chelsea would be the greatest opportunity ever.
The interview was conducted on TVC in 2016 after Osimhen became the all-time leading goal-scorer during the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
When asked who his role model was, Osimhen said, “Didier Drogba…because he’s the kind of player I would like to be as a player and as a person. Because if Drogba is playing, he always wants to win, and that’s the mentality I’ve always had since childhood.”
The interviewer then asked if his response implied that he might want to play for Chelsea, just like Drogba.
Osimhen responded, “If I’m opportune to play for Chelsea, it’s a great privilege for me because Chelsea is a great club. I think playing for them will be the greatest opportunity someone can ever have.”
Osimhen recently made Nigerian proud after leading his club, Napoli, to clinch its Serie A title after 33 years.
