Afrobeat musician, Femi Kuti, spoke out on his brother Seun’s detention during a concert in France on Friday night.
Femi stated that the family was working hard to achieve a favourable outcome and that they have one of the best lawyers.
In the video that went viral on Saturday, he said, “Just before we embarked on this tour, my brother, Seun, got arrested. Unfortunately I can’t talk about it because it’s in the court, but I want you all to know that we have one of the best lawyers.
“The family is solidly behind him and we do hope for a positive result at the end of the day.”
Seun was detained at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, popularly known as Panti over an alleged assault on a police officer in a viral video.
The musician was accompanied by a lawyer, Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN).
