Governor Samuel Ortom is a very good man. He may likely be the best governor that Benue state will produce. One thing stands him out, and that is his Zero Tolerance for corruption but there are people who defied his order that nobody should steal government funds.
Another thing that stands him out is that Governor Samuel Ortom will never ask you not to expose any corrupt official in his administration no matter how close the investigator is to him. He will simply say that: “I want to maintain my good name and I don’t want EFCC to run after me after I leave office and that is why I am very careful with public funds” That is governor Ortom for you.
These corrupt appointees don’t respect the governor’s popular statement that: “If you chop money, money go chop you”. They were stealing and ridiculing their positions of responsibilities, and that is unknown to His Excellency. Trust him, he would have fired them long ago just like he did to some in the past had he known.
Their list, bank cheques, documents, transfer receipts, bank deposit slips, bank withdrawal slips, and other proofs are with the investigators of Nigerian Concord Newspaper for embattled governor-elect to know where to start his anti corruption fight within the short period he has to stay in office before being thrown out by the Court.
